L’Osteria del Conte is situated in Via del Duomo, the main street leading to wonderful Piazza Grande.
The Piazza is surrounded by Renaissance palaces and by the famous civic tower. Thanks to its privileged position overlooking the Fortress gardens, L’Osteria del Conte has often been the main location of films and tv commercials.
By car:
Once you arrive in Montepulciano follow the directions for the town centre (“centro storico”) or for the “duomo”.
There is a parking place just after the main gate of the town. For those of you who prefer to walk through the town’s steep climbs (on which the traditional “Bravìo delle botti” race takes place) should follow the directions for “Piazza Grande”.
By train:
The nearest train station is in Chiusi-Chianciano Terme. You should then take a bus or taxi to Montepulciano, which is 15 minutes away.
By plane:
The nearest airports are in Firenze (Peretola airport) and in Pisa (Galilei airport). You should then take a train to Chiusi- Chianciano Terme or a bus to Siena and then Montepulciano.
